OK, it sounds corny, but I couldn’t come up with anything smart to say for my first blog post title, so ‘welcome to my blog’ it is.
What’s it all about?
I thought it was about time I took the plunge, so expect some funny jokes, crazy cat videos and maybe some sensible chats. But I can’t promise that last bit. But more likely it will be interesting lifestyle posts, specials, competitions and other goodies.

If you know me, you’ll know I spent the last 18 years living in Seattle, Washington, USA. Beautiful place, scenic, big trees, lots of water, and also some fantastic friends I made over the years.

But it was time to retire, and with an aging mum and all my family members living in Australia, I thought it was time I came back home. So with my American hubby Ray and Sam the cat in tow, we moved to Mannum in South Australia.

Layback Aussie
Wow, what a culture shock. I was so used to the fast-paced life in the US that it took a little while to adjust to the layback life of an Aussie. I am now an official layback Aussie again. I missed you layback Aussie!!
Anyways, I decided to start a blog for no other reason than to keep my current friends and all my new ones, updated and entertained.
Retired. Really?
Something I’ve wanted to do for many years was to work on the creative part of my life, so I decided to start a business that gave me the freedom to create and sell my arts and crafts. Yes, you heard it right from the so-called retired one’s mouth, or typing fingers. I have started an arts and crafts business in Mannum, South Australia.
What to Expect
Starting a Blog can be daunting. What do you say and do? Well, I decided it needed to be informative with trends, colour-matching, jewellery making videos, new projects, and a few pictures of my cats, Sam and Zoe thrown in for good measure. You’ll be the first to see my new arts, crafts and handmade jewellery pieces, and let’s not forget, just having fun together. So I hope you stick around.

OK, so I’ll stop rambling on too much more in my introduction to my Blog. I just wanted to get you up to speed with what’s happening and what to expect.
